 Perfect Task Light Apr 28, 2008
First off, it's made by Gerber... no, not the baby food company - the knife/outdoor gear company, and they certainly put out good quality in just about all their products. The flashlight is of an incredibly solid design - if you really wanted to throw it against a wall (for some odd reason) I would give it a 90% chance of sustaining no operational damage. I've dropped it, tossed it, and dropped it again, but it just keeps working. Water proof seal makes it usable underwater - I have tested it. It is brighter than a normal single LED light by far. Clip attaches well to a hat, pocket, belt, or shirt sleeve. Lanyard hole in butt cap is also convenient - tie a leather lanyard to it long enough to fit around your neck or wrist and you'll never drop it as much as I do. All in all, it's a great multi-purpose light that'll suit just about anything. At least try it!

For a single LED flashlight this item is BRIGHT.
It is very well made and for its size is a substantial item.
The knurled tail cap is the twist on/off switch.
This item lacks a momentary switch but if the tail switch is set to a position where the light is just off then the tail cap can be pressed to act as a momentary switch.
It has a hole in the tail cap to attach a lanyard and the pocket clip will attach to the bill of a baseball cap for hands free operation.
At the center it will project a bright white (slightly bluish) beam of light for over 30 feet.
It also projects a softer circle of light (navigation beam) to illuminate the adjacent area.
The LED itself is not covered by a lens but recessed and somewhat protected.
The area around the LED is not polished but this does not appear to impede the performance.
Excellent quality, great performance, no need for a special battery (It operates on a single AA battery)

This product is a very nice task light. The beam throws about 20-30 feet and seems very bright. The color is very white. It has a great bright spot in the middle with a decent flood area.
Build quality seems excellent.
The size is perfect for every day carry without being known as the utility belt guy.
It will not replace your 4 D-Cell Maglite if you want to light up something a block away but for close tasks or finding your way in a dark area it is great.
Would buy again in a second.
Tough and bright mini flashlight Feb 23, 2008
Bought two of these almost 3 years ago, one was stolen, other I used as a poop scoop light attached on my dog's Flexi leash mini saddlebags(which keep ball and plastic bags)Its been slammed hard on concrete about 15 times, dog is a 20lb terrier with very fast take off time. Aluminum was really scuffed light worked until recently.Beam is good enough for walking at night in city,would make a good backup for camping, but not as main light. Am ordering another. Beautiful machined aluminum. I think these should last many years with normal use. I would say mine was worked really hard.

Powerful little flashlight. Feb 19, 2008
I originally bought this with the intention of keeping it in the glove box of my car. I decided this based on the reviews of brightness and the claims of excellent battery life. However when the flashlight arrived it was a lot smaller than I anticipated. Now I keep it in my purse for easy access to a light when I need one. It is very bright for its size and I am happy with the purchase.
