Super Bright, Reliable and Compact Jul 05, 2008 I have evaluated lots of different flashlights including Maglite, Surefire, LEDs, etc. Flashlight technology has advanced from bright Krypton bulbs to brighter Halogen bulbs to super bright Xenon bulbs. The LEDs (light emitting diodes) are energy saving but produce a bluish white cast rather than an incandescent white. The Scorpion flashlight is the best buy among the bunch. It is reasonably priced. The replacement Xenon bulb is not expensive whereas the Surefire replacement bulb is an expensive entire reflector unit. The Scorpion comes with a spare Xenon bulb located underneath its reflector head. These tactical flashights use two 3 volt Lithium batteries. The batteries (type 123) are somewhat costly and last only about an hour continuously on. The good thing about Lithium batteries is that they have a long shelf life. The old Maglites were large and heavy enough to bludgeon an assailant with. The newer tactical flashlights such as the Scorpions are small, lightweight, dependable, super bright and pocket size. For those of you who need spare bulbs, batteries or a convenient belt holster, these are available as well.Streamlight Scorpion Bulb 1Pk - Flashlights and Batteries - Mfr#85914Duracell 123 Camera Battery, 3 Volt (2 Batteries)Streamlight 85905 Nylon Belt Holster, Scorpion, Strion

Fantastic Flashlight Jun 18, 2008 The Scorpion flashlight is ultra bright. It's like having a spotlight in your back pocket.

Best flashlight out there Mar 31, 2008 We use flashlights behind the bar to get peoples attention or for emergency situations and by far this has been the best light I have used. I now carry one in my car, house and on me. The batteries can be expensive, but you can find a bulk buy online for a reasonable price.

The BEST flashlight i've ever used Feb 27, 2008 I got this flashlight for christmas this past year since i would be doing delivery for a local pizza place when i got home. I was a little skeptical about how well this would actually work out on the job. This is a MUST HAVE for delivery drivers that have to find address numbers and street signs in poorly lit areas. On metallic street signs the light makes the sign pop out at you and is just unmatched. the only thing that is a little disappointing but not so huge i wont use it anymore would have to be the battery life and price of replacement batteries. Only about 3 1/2 hours on full power i want to say and then $10/battery to replace from where i've seen them. But overall a great flashlight especially for the size.
These things are great Aug 15, 2007 Everyone should have a few of these around the house, in the car, in your pocket, and next to your gun.
